Diarmuid and Paul’s Garden Festival

After a raging success last year, Diarmuid and Paul’s Garden Festival is back in the breathtaking surroundings of Ballinskelligs, Co Kerry. A festival with a difference! The Garden Festival Get Together is a celebratory gathering for plant lovers and gardeners of any type who are passionate about all things plants and gardening. The Idea for this festival came from the community affectionately known as ‘The Riff Raff’ built up by Paul and Diarmuid on their Gardening Conversations Instagram lives.

National Botanic Gardens

A heady tour of the most fragrant summer flowers including a brief history of perfume. Of course, plants do not produce their scent just for our pleasure but to entice pollinators and give chemical warning signals – on this tour, explore how plants use scent to exploit animals to their advantage.

Wild Food Way Foraging Workshops

This workshop brings you for a leisurely walk to learn how to identify all the wild plants and trees found growing in the wild. Spending time discussing the edibility and traditional, modern and herbal uses for each plant also discussing the many methods of collecting and preserving wild plants and how to do this safely and sustainably.
